What is considered as acknowledged choices of material?

No Waste is a project that plays with the idea of creating objects by mixing parts found in trash with new tailor made details. It questions the conventional ideas of what is generally considered as accurate choices of material. The project emerged through a desire to create products and furniture with a unique story within. The project consists of Bright Light and Marble Link Table and the characteristic commonalities are the linking arms in wood. The project was carried out during 2013 - 2014.

The idea for Bright Light grew from a visit to the garbage room where an old lamp foot was found next to an empty jam jar. The hunt for more waste objects continued and a cord from a broken lamp was also collected. The constituent components are connected by a structure of linking arms in pine wood.

The love story of Marble Link Table,
A piece of marble found in the trash was taken care of, cleaned up and treated with respect. Soon after a wooden frame in classified pine was designed with clean elegance and a playful mind. Layers of arms linked the frame together to provide the strength needed for the massive marble top. Later on the parts was fixed together with shiny bright brass screws and the happy marriage of the two parts was a fact.
